Gabriel Filippi is a Canadian mountaineer, speaker and author of the national best-selling book “THE ESCAPIST: How One Man Cheated Death on the World's Highest Mountains”. He is the only Quebecer to have climbed Everest on both sides (Tibet and Nepal). In the spring of 2019, he became the first Canadian to climb Everest 3 times. Then, less than 24 hours later, he found himself on top of Lhotse, the 4th highest peak in the world at 8516m (27,939 feet). On May 12, 2022, he reached the top of Everest for a fourth time.

Gabriel is also an ultra-trail runner who has completed the Bromont Ultra 160km (100 miles) and theUltra-Trail Harricana ™ 125km (77 miles). With his motto “Never stop exploring” this leader of the Canadian athlete team of The North Face ® has traveled to more than 40 countries.
